How do I book my party?
Fill out a booking form located at the bottom of any party package page. Please fill out all required fields so we can better assist you. This form is sent directly to our email, and once it is received we will check your requested character's availability and get back with you as soon as we can. Note: Your party is not officially booked until the payment has been made.
Is there a deposit required to ensure entertainment?
There is a 50% deposit that must be made within two days of booking. This guarantees your spot on our calendar, and that your character can make the journey from their castle. If payment is not made within two days of booking, your spot will be made available to other guests and we will continue the booking process based on remaining availability. *There is a 3% fee in order to use a credit card or PayPal
How far in advance should I book my party?
Parties are booked on a first come first serve basis. Contact us as soon as possible! We suggest booking 6-8 weeks in advance to offer you the date and character you prefer, however do not hesitate to call last minute! We may have availability for you, and after all making magic is what we do best!
When can I pay for my party?
After your deposit has been made, you do not have to worry about payment until the day before your party! You are welcome to pay your balance in full, but the full amount is due the day prior to the party date.
What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
After the deposit is made, your party is official! If for any reason you must cancel your party, contact us by email and we will sort through a partial refund. However, if you cancel within one week of your event, the deposit is non-refundable. We, of course, can work around extreme situations. If you simply need to move your party to another date, we will be happy to do so based on availability.
Can I book a Princesses Of The 417 appearance for my daycare/school/church?
Absolutely! As long as it is approved by administration, we love to come visit little ones in an educational environment. Just make a note on your booking form of your specific request, or go through our contact page!
Can I book a Princesses Of The 417 appearance at public venues?
Yes! We are happy to travel to your venue of choice to make your party magical! If you are planning to use a public venue, please check with them before booking as some do not allow outside entertainment.
What is your weather policy?
A little rain won’t ruin our magic! In case of rain or other circumstances that would prevent us from performing outside we do ask that you have a ‘backup’ venue indoors. If inclement weather occurs the day of the party preventing travel, we will be happy to reschedule free of charge.
*Due to the quality of our costumes and the cost and time it takes to clean them, if inclement weather occurs we must move to an indoor location.
Can I book Princesses Of The 417 for an outdoor party?
Of course! Outdoor parties are beautiful and we love them! However, we ask that you do make sure your venue is a clean, dry, somewhat shaded area. Our performers wear high quality costumes and wigs and we cannot risk damaging them during an event.
In regards to outside temperature, if your little princesses would be uncomfortable outside our Princesses probably would be too. For example, if your little princess needs to wear a coat it is probably too cold for our Princesses. For safety reasons, our performers cannot perform outside if the temperature drops below 55 degrees or exceeds 85 degrees.
How far will you travel?
We will travel anywhere to spread some magic! We currently serve Springfield, MO and all surrounding areas. Our Castle is in south Springfield, any location farther than 30 miles from our location will require a travel fee that will be determined upon booking.
Do I need a special set up for my party?
An open area for the guests to play with the characters is all we need. There is no need to set anything up for us, we take care of everything included in the package. The character will lead activities based on the package you have selected.
What should little guests wear?
Anything they are comfortable in is great! We find that guests have more fun when in dresses or costumes! After all, who wouldn’t want to show up as a mini-version of your royal visitor?
What will happen when the character arrives at my party?
Your performer will arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start time of their appearance. They will contact you via text message upon their arrival to ensure you are prepared for their entrance- get your cameras ready for the birthday child's reaction! The character will enter the party, conduct their itinerary of activities, and say their goodbyes!
We also do our best to park out of sight of the party entrance to avoid little ones seeing the character step out of their vehicle and collect their belongings- hopefully one day we will have real life horse drawn carriages! But until then, this is a small way we can preserve the magic!
What is a "Character Attendant"?
A Character Attendant is a royal assistant who serves as the communication between you and the performer so that they never break character. Character Attendants handle all party supplies so that the characters can be handsfree; they look out for the safety of the actors, and make sure they look picture-perfect throughout your party; and ensure that you are satisfied with your experience. Character Attendants help with any and everything you or the character needs to make the party run smoothly and successfully.
What type of games do you play with the kids at parties?
We have a wide variety of interactive character themed games! We will select the games to fit your party based on the number of participants and their age range.
What are "Royal Etiquette Lessons"?
We believe that true Princesses are as sparkly on the inside as they are on the outside! Little ones often look up to these characters, so it is important to us for them to hear a positive and encouraging message from their favorite character of believing in themselves, being kind to everyone, and following their dreams. We also teach guests how to walk, wave, curtsy, bow, twirl, and speak like a Prince and Princess. At the end of the lesson they have the option to put on a "show" of what they have learned for their parents.
Do I need to provide anything for my party?
Our Princesses provide everything they need for the party. You can expect us to bring a speaker for vocal performance, story book, props, and a special tiara for the birthday girl! The only thing you need to provide is the food you are serving, decorations and party favors (if those are things you would like to do) Other than that, we've got you covered!
What is the ideal age for little royal guests?
We regularly appear at parties for children ages 2-10, but we suggest certain packages for different ages. All little ones love interacting with our characters, and we find adults enjoy the experience as well! If you are uncertain of which package to select, when booking tell us about your child and we will make a suggestion based on our experiences!
Are boys allowed at Princess parties? Are girls allowed at Super Hero parties?
Of course! We are all inclusive, boys and girls of all ages are welcome at all of our parties, and this will not affect any of our planned activities. Please let us know if you have any special requests or questions.
Do performers accept gratuity?
Gratuity is never expected, but always appreciated. If you feel compelled to reward your performer with a tip we are grateful for your generosity! Performers work hard to make sure you and your families have a successful party, so if you would like to show your performer you loved their performance, gratuity is a great way to do so!
Does Princesses Of The 417 attend charity events or fundraisers?
Yes! We offer discounts and donations to nonprofit organizations! If you are interested in inviting a character to your fundraiser, just send us an email and we would be happy to work with you!
